Tinto de Verano
Many Americans dream of visiting Spain but can't afford it. Tinto de Verano is a Spanish summer wine, often enjoyed outdoors with friends and tapas on a sunny Summer day in Spain.
I created a Make Your Own Tinto de Verano kit, "Bendecido," accompanied by a custom typeface to commidify this experience visually.
Typography, Illustration, Packaging Design
In Spanish, “Bendecido” translates to blessed, which is represented by the blood-red hue of Tinto de Verano. The positive and negative space interactions of the typographic forms communicates the commodified nature of this cultural experience as a make-your-own kit, though in an exciting and playful way.
